Announcing our Second Benefit online Concert!
On Sun, March 7, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM EST we will air via YouTube a concert from among the final performances of the wonderful flutist Patrick Dillery, playing with TheFOG Cuartet. The program includes works of Bach, Mozart, Ravel, and Dolan. The concert is presented by Musical Associates and is a benefit for the Village Music School Foundation. It will be free, but donations will be requested. It features a few of the students from The Village Music School as the “warm-up” acts following a heartfelt introduction by Kevin Dolan. The link to the video is here, and is available for viewing through Sunday, March 14, 2021.

March, 2020: With the onslaught of the coronavirus and all the changes to normal operations that have occurred, we understand that many parents are struggling to keep their children occupied in positive activities during the day. Music lessons are a perfect solution to that kind of problem. Our sister organization, The Village Music School is offering online lessons, and if families are unable to pay the full amount, we are willing to subsidize the cost of the lessons on a sliding scale, based on the family’s rate of subsidy on the Free and Reduced Lunch database. We do this in order to ensure the musicians giving the lessons are being paid fully.
We are very excited to announce that we recently met with our Board and secured permission to explore several projects, including collaborating on an Alzheimer’s benefit concert, support for an amateur choral group, support for a group who creates performance opportunities for musicians with developmental disabilities, and support for a guitar festival.
